Hello Everyone,

I client recently called to let me know her wonderful discovery and I wish to share it. It is rather simple, though based on age-old wisdom. I am sure most of you heard your parents or grandparents tell you to "go to bed early and get a good night's sleep."

Her husband read two books: 'Healing Night,' by Rubin Naiman and 'Lights Out,' by TS Wiley. Following the advice in these books, she received very quick and exciting results. Her carb and sugar cravings greatly diminished, she is not tired at all any more, her hormones balanced out, and she feels great.

Some of the advice she is following is blocking all light from the bedroom. Making it very dark. Making sure no light is coming in the windows, no light from anything in the bedroom, etc. Not watching TV or looking at computer screens in the hours before bed. Turning off, or down very low all the lights in the house in the evening hours. And going to bed before 9 pm.

It may seem like a stretch for some of you, though well worth giving it a try. I have not read the books, though I know all this to be true through both research and experience. I doubly recommend all this advice to anyone with a major disease. It will help your body to regenerate properly. And to the rest of you, why wait until you have a real problem to honor what will make your body and mind be its healthiest?

Getting to sleep early in the evening, avoiding all light in the bedroom (bedroom should be totally black), and staying away from TVs, computer screens and bright lights in the hours before bed will greatly improve your health on all levels.

There also should not be electric clock radios or wires or other electrical appliances near your head or body. That includes heated blankets, etc. Be doubly sure you children's heads and bodies are not near electricity.

And when you wake up refreshed in the early morning hours, you will be far more refreshed than you are used to. You will also have far more time in the morning and not start your day off rushed and under stress. You can write in your journal, meditate, exercise, read, eat a proper breakfast, and spend some quality time with your children and loved ones. Also, the early morning sunlight has a great healing affect on your body and mind; it will promote healthy body rhythms and hormones - so get out for a walk in the early hours. There are actually healing properties in the early sunlight that are different than during the day.

For those of you on antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, sleeping medications, pain pills etc., this advice on sleeping may be all you need to get off those medications.
