Indigestion - Donna - NC
I need help with indigestion. No matter what I eat or drink, I always feel like I have a lump in my throat that won't go away. I have seen countless doctors and specialists over the years. After my 3rd endoscopy, I was told my official diagnosis was that I had "an angry stomach". No sign of acid reflux, no damage to my esophagus and no ulcers. But, both my stomach and esophagus were very red and inflamed. I have been on some form of ulcer/stomach acid medicine since I was 17 and I had my gallbladder removed last year, even though there were no gallstones. Sometimes it is so bad it's hard for me to swallow. I finally went to a Naturopathic Dr. She did a blood test and told me my body does not tolerate potatoes or fruit mixed with sugar cane. (I can eat fruit OR pure cane sugar; I just can't eat them within 8 hours of each other. But I can't eat potatoes at all.) We both hoped that adjusting my diet to eliminate these foods would improve or erase my indigestion. It did help me with other issues - I have so much more energy, I am sleeping better, my allergies are under control and my mood is better. But, it has been over a month and the indigestion is still there. Under the Naturopathic Dr's orders, I am no longer taking the prescription or over the counter medicines. I am taking Ichol supplement from Genestra Brands (2 with every meal) and GI Encap from Thorne Laboratories (2 per meal), along with a tincture she made for me. They help to the point that I am able to eat, but I am still constantly uncomfortable from the "lump" in my throat and constant belching. I consider eating a chore. I have tried all of the prevention ideas listed on other websites. I am not overweight (120 lbs), I only eat fresh food that I prepare myself (no caffeine or carbonate beverages; hardly any processed food at all), I drink lots of water, exercise regularly and I stop eating well before bedtime. The only thing that offers any (very temporary) relief is milk or ice cream. But that's not a long-term solution due to the sugar and the fact that I'm mildly allergic to dairy. I'm only 33, it shouldn't be this hard for me to eat! Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Donna, I see you are struggling with a lot. I wish to help you. This is too complex to try to answer only here in the forum. I believe I can help you resolve this. For some immediate comfort I would begin using Premier AloePro or AloeMannin daily, a small amount 3x daily. Then do the Loomis 24 Hr Urinalysis. When you receive the results back call and set up a consultation with me. I look forward to helping you.
