K2-7, 60 Vcaps
Vitamin K plays an essential role in the maintenance of bone and cardiovascular health. Compared to other forms of Vitamin K, K2-7 (menaquinone-7) offers a longer half-life, resulting in more stable levels in the body. Vital Nutrients K2-7 is soy-free.
Menaquinone-7 is the most readily absorbed and bioactive form of K2, but there are no common dietary sources. Unlike Vitamin K1, which is stored in the liver, MK-7 is transported directly to tissues and has a longer half-life than either K1 or MK-4.
MK-7 is ten times better absorbed than K1 from spinach and is responsible for the carboxylation of specific bone proteins needed for building bones.
Vitamin K2 plays an important role in blood clotting, normal bone formation, and preservation of bone strength. Specifically Vitamin K2 is significant in the regulation of tissue calcification, maintaining arterial elasticity, and cardiovascular health.

Whenever I take my vitamin D I also take Vitamin K, especially in the winter months when I am taking large amounts of vitamin D. It is really important to take K when you are taking vitamin D and or calcium supplements. Vitamin K helps move calcium into the proper areas in your body, such as your bones and teeth. Without K, the calcium can move into your soft tissues, and places like your arteries where you don't want it.
I particularly like that this is a very small capsule, rather then a tablet.
