How to use Dr Peat's Progest E Oil. Please consult your doctor or health practitioner if you have further questions or need individualized guidance.

If the weather is hot where you live, there is no need to worry about Progest E being affected by the heat during the shipping process. Progest E is very stable. Upon receipt, though it is not required, it is recommended to refrigerate the Progest E for the very best storage conditions, which will preserve its shelf life of 2 years. It is important to store Progest E out of direct light, which prevents product degradation.

Our Progest E Oil is sent out directly from the manufacturer. So you can be assured you are always receiving the freshest product possible.

The resin used to make the bottle does not contain—BPAs, phthalates—or any other toxic chemicals listed for example under Proposition 65 in California or any other international toxics regulatory body.

If the bottle is too cold the drops won't be easy to measure, so estimate (it is unnecessary to be exact, use as needed), or let it warm up outside the refrigerator for 30 min or so (see more information in instructions). It is only necessary to refrigerate in hot or long term storage conditions.

Get an idea of your desired amount when the liquid is at room temperature. Then when it is cold estimate that similar amount.

Some people experience the taste of this product to be a little bitter, or strange tasting. This is natural. This product is preserved with natural vitamin E.

Dr. Peat's Progest-E Complex may support the following:

  • "Heat Flushes"
  • Various menstrual issues at all times of life
  • Healthy mood and energy levels
  • Supports sleep
  • Women and men of all ages report many benefits using Dr Peat's Progest E
  • Protection from toxic effects of estrogen

Key Benefits:

  • Supports full spectrum issues related to estrogen and progesterone imbalances

The Progest E Oil can be also be applied directly to the skin, for skin issues or beauty, and can be helpful for areas affected by sun, and conditions such as physical pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, tendinitis, bursitis, varicose veins, etc. It can also be used for vaginal dryness. To speed up assimilation and to make application easier when applied externally, add a few drops of olive oil or coconut oil (jojoba is an excellent oil for the skin) to the area then rub Progest-E Oil Complex into and around the affected area.

Additional Information:

  • In this 10% solution of Progest-E Complex, one drop contains about 6 milligrams of progesterone
  • The size of the drops will vary depending on several factors for example, the amount of pressure applied squeezing the bottle, and the temperature of the solution.
  • A 60 mg drop contains 6 mg and is a common minimum amount to use. An unpopped kernel of popcorn looks the same size as a 60 mg drop of Progest-E and can be used as a reference for people who don’t have a scale for weighing small drops. There are approximately 560 drops weighing 60 mg in each 34 ml bottle. It is not necessary to be exact using this product. Use as needed.

Dispensing and Storage Tips:

Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and natural light is known to reduce the shelf life of natural vitamin E.  To get the greatest benefit from the natural vitamin E in Progest-E, keep the product refrigerated (does not have to be), or in a cool dark place.

Natural vitamin E is more viscous when cold. To facilitate dispensing drops when you are down towards the end of the bottle, use the following procedure: With the cap on, put your bottle of Progest-E upside down in a a juice glass in the fridge. Remove the glass containing the bottle of Progest-E from the fridge approximately 20-30 minutes before use. This allows the solution to get to room temperature and makes dispensing drops easier. Storing the bottle upside down also ensures that the solution is always in the dropper tip ready for use. Note: Do not store upside down when the bottle is full because the liquid will dispense too quickly. Store right side up until it becomes difficult to squeeze out liquid from the bottle.

Is Progest-E micronized?

The particle size definitely makes a difference—the smaller the better!  Tests have shown micronized progesterone to have significantly higher absorption than standard milled progesterone.  In the US the standard milled has an average particle size of approximately 45 microns, micronized progesterone is less than 15 microns.  However, for progesterone containing products, it is the formula and its inherent stability (or lack of it) which will determine the benefits available to users of the product.  Due to its unique formulation, Progest-E has a functional progesterone particle size over a thousand times smaller than micronized progesterone, in a biologically pure and highly stable formula.

What about the Soy in Progest E?

The vitamin E in the Progest-E Complex is derived from NON-GMO soy. The vitamin E used in Progest-E is of the highest quality and purification level and it does not contain soybean oil or soy proteins. People with soy allergies should have no problem with this product. There are several undesirable substances found in whole soybeans, but they are all eliminated during the extraction of vitamin E.

Reclaiming Balance: Exploring Bioidentical Progesterone for Menopause Relief

As women transition through perimenopause and menopause, hormone levels and progesterone levels can get drastically unbalanced. Estrogen levels dip, triggering a cascade of unpleasant symptoms such as: hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, and mood swings. Finding natural solutions to replenish progesterone, the body's calming counterpart to estrogen, becomes a priority. But don’t worry, we carry some of the best perimenopause supplements you can find! Dr. Peat's Progest-E Complex with bioidentical progesterone emerges as a potential answer. But before diving in, let's explore the science behind progesterone and how it can help us reclaim hormonal balance.

Bioidentical Progesterone: Nature's Missing Piece

Unlike synthetic progestins found in some hormone replacement therapies, bioidentical progesterone mimics the molecular structure of the progesterone our bodies naturally produce. This allows for a more targeted and potentially gentler approach. Beyond alleviating menopausal woes, bioidentical progesterone offers a range of potential health benefits:
  • Strong Bones: Progesterone works hand-in-hand with estrogen to support bone mineral density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
  • Mood Magic: Progesterone's calming effects can help regulate mood swings and irritability, common during hormonal shifts.
  • Restful Nights: Say goodbye to tossing and turning! Progesterone can promote deeper, more restful sleep, leaving you feeling energized.
  • Cognitive Powerhouse: Emerging research suggests progesterone may play a role in cognitive function and memory, especially in older adults.

Finding Your Perfect Bioidentical Progesterone Amount

The key to unlocking the benefits of bioidentical progesterone lies in personalization. While some women find relief with a lower amount, others may need more to manage their symptoms effectively. Factors like symptom severity, body weight, and individual metabolism can all influence your progesterone needs. Dr. Peat's Progest-E comes in a convenient dropper bottle, allowing for easy customization of your daily dosage. The included dropper ensures measured amounts for individual preferences. To learn more, check out our Bioidentical Progesterone dosage instructions for Dr. Peats Progesterone oil. Remember: Consulting with a healthcare professional is crucial. They can assess your unique needs, measure your hormone levels, and develop a personalized treatment plan to guide you back to hormonal harmony. Dr. Peat's Progest-E: Your Menopause Ally Dr. Peat's Progest-E Complex boasts a unique delivery system that bypasses the digestive system for optimal absorption, delivering bioidentical progesterone directly to your bloodstream, potentially reducing unwanted side effects. Here's how Dr. Peat's Progest-E can be your knight in shining armor:
  • Fight the Flames: Studies show that progesterone can significantly reduce the frequency and intensity of hot flashes, a relentless menopausal foe.
  • Sleep Soundly: Experience the bliss of restful sleep with progesterone's calming influence. Wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.
  • Emotional Balance: Progesterone helps regulate mood swings and irritability, promoting emotional well-being during hormonal shifts.
  • Strong Bones for Life: Progesterone works synergistically with estrogen to maintain bone health, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
Beyond the Hype: Progest-E vs. Other Options Unlike many over-the-counter menopause supplements containing herbs or plant extracts with inconsistent effects, Dr. Peat's Progest-E offers a targeted approach. It delivers the very hormone your body craves: bioidentical progesterone. Our customers constantly rave about Dr. Peat’s Progest E being one of the best menopause supplements for a reason, it actually works and our customers love it! Dr. Peat’s Safety and Effectiveness Dr. Peat's Progest-E is formulated with natural vitamin E oil, a well-tolerated carrier. It's free of harsh ingredients like parabens, synthetic dyes, and soy proteins, making it a potentially safe choice for most women. However, consulting your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen is always recommended.

What is a Normal Estrogen Level in Women?

Estrogen levels and Progesterone levels are like a swinging pendulum throughout a woman's life. During your childbearing years, they rise and fall in a predictable rhythm, peaking around ovulation and dipping before your period. Generally, premenopausal women can expect this range to be somewhere between 30 and 400 picograms per milliliter (pg/mL), but that number can vary depending on the test and lab. Things like birth control pills or hormone therapy can also nudge these levels up or down. Birth control, for instance, might contain a synthetic estrogen that puts the brakes on your body's natural production. On the other hand, hormone replacement therapy with estrogen might elevate your levels to mimic a healthy premenopausal range. Menopause throws a wrench into this whole system. As your ovaries wind down egg production, estrogen levels take a nosedive, dropping below 20 pg/mL after menopause. This dramatic shift is the culprit behind many of those uncomfortable symptoms you might experience, like hot flashes and night sweats. Please note, that we’re discussing a general estrogen level in female bodies and there can be individual variations. If you're worried about hormonal imbalance, a chat with your doctor is key. A simple hormone blood test can measure your estrogen levels and other hormones, giving you a clearer picture of your hormonal health. With this information, your doctor can discuss options like lifestyle changes or hormone replacement therapy to help you manage symptoms and feel your best. We stock 2 phenomenal options for hormone blood test kits that you can do right in the comfort of your own home:

Progestin vs. Progesterone: What’s the difference?

Think of progesterone as the key that unlocks certain functions in your body. It's a natural hormone produced by the ovaries, kind of like a master baker following a trusted recipe. Progesterone regulates your cycle, prepares your uterus for pregnancy, and keeps estrogen in check. Progestin, on the other hand, is a synthetic version that is made in a lab to act similarly to progesterone. Both can help as hot flashes supplements and also to help regulate periods, but they're not identical. Progestin has a different chemical structure, which can sometimes lead to side effects like bloating or mood swings that might be less common with bioidentical progesterone, the natural bioidentical version of our body’s own naturally made substance. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your unique needs. Talking to your doctor can help you decide which "key" is right for your hormonal harmony.

Great stuff- make sure you're ready for it

Posted by Cara on Jul 12th 2024

At first, this product amped me up, and I've been intolerant to all forms of progesterone for a long time. I finally figured out that I had to treat my thyroid first. Now that I'm on thyroid meds, Progest-E works exactly like it should- relaxing and definitely promoting deeper sleep. If progesterone wires you up or gives you anxiety, that might be a sign that your thyroid needs attention. Take some T3 or a glandular for a couple of weeks, and then add this product in. Hope this helps someone else!

    Progest-E Complex Replenishing Oil

Posted by Ayn Rose on Jun 21st 2024

I use the teachings of Dr. Ray Peat for my diet which supports hormonal balance. I found out about Progest-E through him. This product is liquid gold. I feel so much better when I take it. Be generous in your use of it, don't skimp! I use about 1 1/2 bottles a month. The diet is just as important. The diet and Progest-E together make a huge difference in your menstrual cycle so you won't feel pain and any of the symptoms women experience and it helps post menopausal women, too. I feel full of energy, clear and positive! I highly recommend this product.

I switched to this product after using a transdermal one from a compounding pharmacy for years. I have never felt better and the results were almost immediate for me. I cannot recommend this enough if you suffer from hormonal imbalances and nothing has seemed to help. You won’t regret making the switch.
